Hi there!

I’m Alex Reijnierse (/rye-‘neer-sa/) and I want to thank you for checking out my website and my courses on paleo stress management. If you are reading this, you are probably suffering from stress or anxiety, or even chronic stress or anxiety and are interested in learning how to manage it properly in order for it to not have such an impact on your daily life. Or perhaps you just want to improve your physical and mental health in general.

I have been dealing with the same issues for over a decade and I had a strong urge to regain some control over it. In my life, I’ve had very demanding jobs and have worked in high-pressure environments (managing teams of more than 50 staff members and being responsible for worldwide IT infrastructure in over 70 countries). In my personal life, I’ve also encountered stressful situations. I had to take care of my parents when they were very sick and had several major life events happen to me that each lasted several years.

You can imagine that it left me in a state of chronic stress, which persisted long after all of these circumstances ended. I was always in a state of alert and found it difficult to relax. Much like many of you have probably done, I frantically scoured the internet looking for answers to my questions and ways to control my stress levels. In most cases, I was left with anecdotal evidence from people who also suffered and found relief in one thing or another. When I followed their advice, it was usually with little to no effect, and in some cases it made my symptoms even worse!

I have a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering & Telecommunications and as such have learned to be very analytical when it comes to solving problems, but I’ve had difficulty dealing with strong emotions. I decided to focus on scientific evidence because I wanted to be able to prove to myself both subjectively (by feeling better) and objectively (by being able to measure my stress levels) whether the methods I tried actually worked. Gradually, I was able to focus on the things that worked and made a difference. This process took several years, but was well worth it. In my opinion, this stuff should be taught in high school!

In my masterclass course on paleo stress management: Chill out Method, I will explain what I have found to be effective in diminishing stress. My hope is that I can transform my own suffering into something more positive for others so that they do not have to go through this lengthy and time-consuming process. Most of all, I hope to help others on their journey on how to deal with and manage stress, and I would be thrilled to hear from you how this course impacted your life.
